Economic benefits:
Depending on the growth of
trees, which depends on the climate
water, sunlight and wood market prices in the future, we can expect interesting opportunities for Paulownia wood.
In 5 to 7 years, a kiri tree will grow to around 18 to 20 meters.
However, it’s the diameter of the trunk which is the most important. This one must be greater than 30cm (about 11.81 in).
At this point the average tree produces roughly 1.35m3 of usable wood.
It will then be cut into planks of wood.
